Article Processing Charge (APC) Policy

The Innovations Journal of Humanities and Social Studies (IJHSS) is committed to open access publishing, ensuring that all articles are freely available online immediately upon publication. To sustain this model while maintaining the highest editorial and production standards, the journal applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) to accepted manuscripts, effective from 1 June 2025.

1. APC Rates

  • Authors based in Malaysia: RM 1,400

  • Authors based outside Malaysia: USD 300

Article Processing Charges (APC) should be paid with a total amount of (USD 300). This amount should be paid in two payments. The first amount (USD 50) is paid after the first check of the article submission. The second amount (USD 250) is paid when the article is preliminary accepted (scientific acceptance). 

Selected papers presented at Scientific Events Gate conferences may be published free of charge, subject to editorial approval.

2. What the APC Covers

The APC supports all essential publishing services provided by the IJHSS Editorial Office and Scientific Events Gate, including:

  • Rigorous double-blind peer review and editorial screening.

  • Professional copyediting, layout, and formatting.

  • Secure hosting on the latest OJS platform and full-text archiving through LOCKSS/CLOCKSS for long-term preservation.

  • Metadata registration and DOI assignment to maximize discoverability across databases.

  • Preparation of XML and HTML versions to ensure inclusion in international indexing systems.

3. Payment Procedures

Upon receiving the official acceptance letter, authors will be contacted by the editorial office with payment details.
Payments can be made through the following methods:

  • Bank transfer

  • Western Union

  • PayPal

  • Visa or MasterCard

  • MoneyGram
