This study aimed to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the existing solid waste management services in the city of El-Qobba. Additionally, the study also had specific objectives, such as identifying the current practices of solid waste management programs and determining the general perception of the state of solid waste management. The researcher used both primary and secondary sources. Primary data was collected through questionnaires, while secondary data was extracted from various published and unpublished materials. This study was analyzed using quantitative techniques. The validity and reliability of the research instrument were verified, and data were collected from 260 respondents using a random sampling method, selected from El-Qobba city. The data were statistically analyzed using SPSS v.23 and SmartPLS v.3.0. It was found that the city's solid waste management authorities lack expertise and effective practices in waste collection, transportation, and disposal, and it is clear that the waste collection process throughout the city is not well implemented. The technical, financial, and environmental variables were positive and significant, supporting the development of the study model. One such recommendation is that the problems of solid waste accumulation can be solved if the future government establishes effective management. Furthermore, financial support is the backbone of solving this problem by intervening with the relevant authorities to establish environmental monitoring for solid waste management in the study area.
