Abstract

This study seeks to highlight the argumentative aspects in the Holy Qur’anic discourse and its counterpart in the text of the Old Testament (the story of Taloot as an example), based on Decrou’s statement: We generally speak with the intention of influencing. Thus, he confirms that the structure of language carries in its essence an argumentative function that can be highlighted through some Argumentative mechanisms such as (argumentative links, argumentative factors, argumentative scale, as well as the argumentation of some words), which were employed in the two texts in order to clarify the meaning of the meaning that carries the desired intent and purpose.
