This research titled " Manifestations of the superiority of general Islamic law over statutory laws - felonies as an example " aims to demonstrate the superiority of Islamic Sharia over positive laws in determining criminal penalties. The research consists of an introduction, two sections, and a conclusion. The introduction covers the research problem, significance, objectives, reasons for selection, methodology, scope, and detailed plan. The first section comprises four demands, including clarifying the religious purpose of penalties, protecting public interests, the specific objectives of Sharia penalties, and safeguarding the moral system. The second section contains three demands: types of offenses against the self in Islam and positive law, the penalty for offenses, highlighting Islam's differentiation in determining penalties, and contemporary application of penalties, emphasizing the superiority of Sharia penalties over positive ones. The research concludes by highlighting key findings, such as Islam's focus on the spiritual meanings of the perpetrator, its emphasis on reforming both the perpetrator and society, and recommending the organization of scientific conferences showcasing the excellence of Islamic criminal legislation compared to positive laws.
