Abstract

This research contributes to the current search for organization and identity by exploring identity work based on the authenticity of a group of workers. While previous research has highlighted the efforts of some women entrepreneurs who adhere to the male identity of entrepreneurship, we focus on women who consciously rely on feminine entrepreneurial identity as a means in the business context. However, despite their commitment to feminine identity, the research highlights their integration into a contradictory attitude or hostility in this authenticity-driven endeavour. Based on a shared concept of existential authenticity, which focuses on cultural, historical, political, economic and physical boundaries for being true to itself, here we show how the nature of the search for an entrepreneurial identity based on documentation means that they rely on feminine discourse of difference and contradictory male discourse from professionalism in their work in building identity The research also sought to achieve a number of objectives of identifying the nature of the variables researched as well as analysing and discussing the role of original entrepreneurship by identifying key issues and trends for being central to the organization's identity-based business administration. For this purpose, we designed and conducted a qualitative analysis of the situation with 34 women entrepreneurs. We contribute to research by highlighting shifts in the identity of entrepreneurship, for example: from men to women and vice versa, in order to take advantage of dilemmas when trying to balance economic, environmental and social aspects. Tension management strategies for sustainable entrepreneurs are flexible because they affect different dimensions of their identity depending on the context of the decision. In fact, the hybrid nature of sustainable business requires absorbing and utilizing strategies
