The study aimed to identify the development of scientific research in Saudi universities, where the scientific progress of any nation is measured by the ability of this nation to keep pace with the times in acquainting with all the knowledge organized and available to the nation. Its comprehensive development processes that achieve the advancement of life in it at the level of the era, the study explained the great leap achieved by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the field of scientific research until it topped the global and regional scene with annual growth in scientific research and university education. The study highlighted Najran University as a model, and the reality of the development of scientific research in the university since its inception in 1427, until now and the establishment of its various deanships to pay attention to postgraduate studies and scientific research. The study concluded that the university seeks to achieve the vision of the Kingdom 2030-2040 and has achieved development at the local and regional levels.
