The role of advanced technology in enhancing cybersecurity strategies in the Royal Oman Police.

Abstract

 This scientific paper examines the role of advanced technology in enhancing the Royal Oman Police's cybersecurity strategies, focusing on analyzing the challenges facing the Sultanate in light of the rapid changes in the nature of cyber threats. The paper highlights the importance of using technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data analytics, advanced encryption, and cloud systems to enhance the Royal Oman Police's capabilities to respond to cyberattacks. The paper also discusses the most prominent challenges associated with cybersecurity, including the shortage of qualified human resources and the difficulty of keeping pace with rapid changes in cyberattack methods. Furthermore, the study reviews the importance of regional and international cooperation in combating transnational cybercrimes and the vital role of updating cyber legislation to enhance digital protection. The study concluded that sustainable investment in advanced technology, developing specialized training programs, and enhancing community awareness are among the most important strategies the Royal Oman Police can adopt to enhance cybersecurity. The paper also recommends the establishment of specialized cybersecurity centers and increased international cooperation to exchange security knowledge and expertise.
