Abstract

This study aimed to determine the impact of the culture of women consumption on the reluctance of young people to marry in Saudi society, and to achieve this, the study relied on the social survey method, used the questionnaire tool, and applied the study to the youth of the Qassim region, and the number of the sample was(65)a young man and a young woman, the study has reached several results, the most important of which are: Saudi women may tend to buy expensive goods to achieve a position in society, women feel satisfied and happy when acquiring an international brand, social media ads affect the formation of the culture of consumption of Saudi women, Saudi women may be affected 

The widespread trend in society, the high cost of dowries causes a hindrance in the turnout of young people to marry, the increasing demands of some women make young people hesitate to get married, the obsession of some women in buying expensive goods and brands may make young people refrain from marriage, and the subject of the study showed that the theory of social exchange is suitable to explain the problem of the study ,The study concluded with a set of recommendations, the most prominent of which are: the role of educational and religious institutions in modifying the culture of women's consumption towards the purchase of expensive goods, and the competent authorities spreading economic awareness from websites and others to spread the culture of saving and how to dispose of money, especially among women, we recommend that socialization institutions be keen to strengthen the identity of Arab and Islamic women and the danger of blind imitation, recommending young men and women the need for financial planning and proper spending to ensure economic stability, recommending girls to focus on necessities and set a specific amount for them from the first of the month
