The Differences Of Scholars In Explaining The Positions Of Stopping And Starting In Surat Al-Baqarah, A Semantic Study

Abstract

This research deals with the positions of stopping and starting and the difference in meaning in Surat “Al-Baqarah”.  Stopping and starting: a science known to the Arabs, ancient and modern, because the Arab pauses on the syllables of his speech spontaneously, according to his linguistic manner. By stopping and starting, the meaning is known, and this results in many benefits and abundant deductions. It ensures protection from falling into problems, and no one can deduce legal evidence from the Holy Qur’an except by knowing it, so the aspects of interpretation change according to the different places of stopping and starting.
