Abstract: The study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of using educational software based on electronic games in developing English reading skills among elementary school girls. Given the study’s objectives and the nature of its research problem, an experimental methodology was adopted. The study was conducted on a sample of 24 female students from Souda Al-Qarshiyah School in the Al-Baha region. The researcher developed two tools for data collection: a written test to assess reading skills and an observation checklist to measure the performance aspects of reading skills. The findings revealed a statistically significant difference at the 0.05 level between the mean scores of the experimental group in the pre- and post-tests, favoring the post-test scores in the English reading skills test. Additionally, a statistically significant difference at the 0.05 level was found between the mean scores of the experimental and control groups in the post-test for English reading skills and the assumed proficiency level (90%), favoring the experimental group scores.
