Artificial intelligence is one of the modern issues in education and it is one of the skills that people are proud of and its use has increased in various fields. The research dealt with the use of artificial intelligence in developing the extracurricular skills of secondary school students affiliated with the Ministry of Education in the Republic of Iraq. The research included three topics. The first addressed the definition of artificial intelligence, its areas of use, its advantages and its sections. The second topic dealt with the uses of artificial intelligence in the field of education and its types. The third topic dealt with extracurricular activities and artificial intelligence. The research sample was determined by choosing a specific educational stage (fourth secondary stage). They were distributed into two groups and tests were conducted before and after the study. The open curriculum was used for the sample students, as they were assigned duties and left free to answer, style and sources. The desired results of the study were reached. Some obstacles that accompanied the research and evaluation were also identified. At the end of the research, the most important conclusions and recommendations were identified. The study relied on the quantitative and descriptive analytical approach as well as field work to reach close results through field follow-up of the samples. The study concluded that artificial intelligence can be used to develop extracurricular skills for high school students by providing the necessary supplies and expertise to unleash students’ mental creativity, providing laboratories, curricula, and teaching staff, and allowing students to use their skills to complete assignments without restriction and encouraging this outside the curriculum. It also suggested holding scientific exhibitions in local forums under the auspices of educational institutions and supervision by teaching staff so that they are not misused during the study period.
