In the study of self-elegy in pre-Islamic poetry, a group of poets demonstrated their ability to etch their names in the annals of fame in their societies through bravery and prowess. They glorified their exploits and courage using poetic embellishments. However, this era was fleeting, giving way to the journey of old age and senescence, which robbed them of health and subjected them to debilitating illnesses, leading to a sense of incapacity, stillness, and reduced mobility. Consequently, they began to explore in their poetry vivid images of death and the events thereafter, painting diverse scenes that compel the reader to contemplate these unfolding events.
